These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and Mirror Diary ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Mirror Diary mobile application, website at mirrordiary.app, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using Mirror Diary, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply regardless of whether you are a free trial or paid subscriber.
Mirror Diary is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze daily selfies and return a personal score across multiple visual categories, along with self-care tips. The Service is designed to help users track personal change over time as part of a self-directed glow-up or self-care routine.
The Service is intended for general informational, personal, and entertainment purposes only. It is not a medical, clinical, therapeutic, dermatological, cosmetic, or mental health service.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Mirror Diary. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service and enter into these Terms.
Mirror Diary is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
If you have an active eating disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, or another mental health condition for which a qualified clinician has recommended that you avoid appearance-focused content or applications, you should not use Mirror Diary. See Section 9 for detail.

You may not create accounts on behalf of another person without their explicit permission. You may not share your account with others. We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion, particularly in cases of fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
You agree to use Mirror Diary only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account without notice or refund. Submission of prohibited content (including non-consensual photos of others, or content involving minors) may be reported to law enforcement.
Mirror Diary offers the following premium subscription plans:
Pricing is displayed in USD. Prices in other currencies may vary based on local conversion rates and applicable taxes at the time of purchase.
Subscription plans may include a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your chosen plan will be charged. Apple may not offer a free trial on every plan or every region; check the purchase screen for the exact terms in effect for you.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Renewal charges are applied to your payment method on file with the Apple App Store.
All payments are processed by the Apple App Store. Mirror Diary does not directly handle or store your payment information.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain premium access until the period ends. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial subscription periods.
Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store according to its refund policy. Mirror Diary does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you reinstall the app or switch devices, you can restore your subscription by tapping "Restore Purchases" in the Paywall or Settings screen. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not your device.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will notify you of price changes at least 30 days in advance via email or in-app notification, where applicable. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

The exact limits of the free tier may change as the Service evolves. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
Mirror Diary uses OpenAI's API (GPT-4o Vision model) to generate mirror scores and tips. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
We are not responsible for any emotional, psychological, financial, or physical outcomes resulting from your interpretation of or reliance on AI-generated mirror scores or tips.

By using Mirror Diary, you acknowledge and agree that Mirror Diary, its operators, and its affiliates are not liable for any health outcomes, psychological reactions, or self-image impacts arising from the use of the Service or reliance on its outputs.
All content, features, and functionality of Mirror Diary — including but not limited to the app interface, design, logos, branding, text, graphics, AI prompt systems, and software — are the exclusive property of Mirror Diary and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes only, subject to these Terms.

When you capture and submit a selfie through Mirror Diary, you retain full ownership of the photo. You do not transfer copyright to us.
To enable the Service, you grant Mirror Diary a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
This license terminates when you delete the photo or your account. We do not use your selfies to train AI models (ours or third-party), do not share them with other users, and do not display them publicly. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content that violates these Terms and to terminate accounts that repeatedly submit prohibited content.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MIRROR DIARY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MIRROR DIARY, ITS OPERATORS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:
IN NO EVENT SHALL MIRROR DIARY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENT.

You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" option in the in-app Settings. Upon deletion, your account, all your selfies, and all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions must be separately cancelled through the Apple App Store before deletion.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we determine that you have:
In cases of material violation, termination may be immediate and without refund. In less serious cases, we may provide a warning and opportunity to remedy the issue before termination.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections 9 (Health Disclaimer), 10 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 13 (Limitation of Liability), 14 (Indemnification), and 16 (Governing Law) survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at mirrordiaryapp@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in a court of law. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
This arbitration provision does not apply to users in the European Union, where applicable consumer protection laws may provide different dispute resolution rights.
